Outdoor Living Season is Coming: Are You Ready?
The Las Vegas Review Journal recently released a report of national home renovation trends. One item really jumped out at us. “Make it your own,” the report stated, adding that families are increasingly personalizing floor plans to suit their lifestyle, rather than what may have been the traditional way to use space in their region.
One example of “Make it your own” is the trend toward eliminating the formal living room, using that space instead for home businesses, bedrooms, or to make all the other rooms in the house larger. Another example, and this is something we’ve been seeing here in Montgomery County for a while, is the use of porches, patios and sunrooms as additional living space.
